Dark Knights was founded in 1997 by Scorpio. Scorpio's Co-Leader at the time was a member called DTM. The clan started out small, and recruitment took place. After a short-while, the clan was passed to HYDRA. HYDRA then led [DK] and inwhich the clan was active and took part in many StarCraft tournamets and bot/channel wars. During this time [DK] was growing rapidly, and two channels were operated. The Channels were "Dark Knights" and "Dark Knightz". After awhile life took it's toll and HYDRA started becoming less and less active. This had a huge impact on the clan. Members began quitting and joining other clans. Tournamets began to become less and less frequent. After a bunch of debate among [DK] members, mswari stepped up and appointed himself leader and (shockwave) as his co-leader. mswari[DK] was active and showed leadership which most of the remaining [DK] supported.

As time progressed, Those who did not support wari as the clan leader or still held on to the chance of HYDRA returning, split off into different clans. They all claimed [DK] would die yet most died within themselves within thier first year of creation. One of the longer lasting split-offs was {aKa}. We warred with {aKa} many times in the past and they never succeeded at killing [DK]. As {aKa} now lies dead, [DK] is still pushing along slow and steady... to this day. One thing is obvious though, [DK] has never died no matter what some may think!

In our earlier battle.net days, The clan took part in something known as "Warring". The idea of this was to load bots and attempt to take over (and/or flood) the enemy's clan channel(s). [DK] has allied and warred with the best, Some of the being: {][)K}, ~TG|{~, {mAc} and {eWr}. We have also destroyed/warred many clans, Our primary focus was other clans supporting the [DK] tag. Some of those were "Dragon Knights" "Dark Knights" (copy-cats) and "Death Knights".

Despite all the warring going on, We focused on being a gaming clan as used bots as a defense mechinism when our clans channels were threatened. We held many tournaments for StarCraft. At one point the clan was divided up into "Squads" and members would have squad wars (tournaments between the squads). Everyone loved to compete, However Starcraft slowly began to die out. From there Dark Knights participated in other games such as "Diablo II", "Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction", "Warcraft III", "Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne" and "Counter-Strike".

As time progressed, The clan went through many changes. Some of these changes being; Multiple websites/webmasters, IRC becoming the primary "channel" for clan chatter, and even down to the clan being ran differently. We are currently anticipating Starcraft 2 and Diablo III!
